Everyday Kindness: Bouquet of Kindness
It’s easy for most of us to go through our day and be able to do something kind for a random person like buying their coffee, holding the door for someone, or just simply paying them a compliment. Good News
Tyson Crawley, a carpenter from Australia, stopped at a gas station to fill up his car and pick up some iced coffee for his morning drive when he came to the counter and suddenly realized he couldn’t pay his $110 bill!
Tyson pulled out a new credit card and did his best to try and remember the PIN. At that moment the man who was in line before him, came back into the store.
Without hesitation, the man insisted to pay Tyson’s bill. Tyson was absolutely stunned at the man’s generosity and could see that the man wouldn’t back down.
For this kind stranger, it wasn’t about the money or any ulterior motive. It was simply about compassion and kindness for another human being. Something Tyson would soon find out.
After reluctantly letting the stranger pay for his bill, Tyson asked the man for his name and phone number so he could repay him. The man jotted down some words on the receipt, wished Tyson a good day, and went on his way.
Still feeling overwhelmed and grateful, Tyson turned to the attendant and said, “well that doesn’t happen everyday!” He walked out of the gas station and the kind stranger was already gone. As he looked down at the receipt a number was nowhere to be found. It simply said, “John. Pass it on.”
John gifted Tyson with more than a paid bill, he laid the foundation for another amazing kindness transaction to ensue.
