Good News
The recent earthquake in Ecuador reminds us how fragile life truly is and that in an instant a person’s life can be changed forever.
Many lost their possessions, their homes, their loved ones and most valuable of all the will to continue pushing forward. It’s precisely in moments like these when we are able to catch a glimpse of the essence of man; the compassionate spirit that lives within us all.
The aftermath of the earthquake has not only led to donations pouring in from around the world, but messages of hope, support, and love.
We have all experienced and will continue to experience the unexpected hardships of life and so it is our duty as citizens of humanity to empathize with those who are struggling to lift themselves up, knowing full well that in our time of need the greatest gift comes in the form of compassionate support. Compassion isn’t defined by one action or word, it’s simply being there for someone when they don’t the strength to be there for themselves. As long as we are present and our eyes are peeled, an opportunity to show compassion will present itself.
