Motivation Monday

Life Vest Inside has had the very good fortune of finding writers willing to share their Kindness Stories/Articles with us. One of our special recurring writers is David Jablinowitz, Op-Ed Editor at Jerusalem Post, who is famous for his “bus stories.”

Mom’s Superpower

A mother’s love is like a warm blanket on a cold night—comforting, nurturing, and always there when you need it most. I’ve seen it firsthand in my own mom, whose kindness and strength seem to have no limits.
One day, when I was feeling down and out, Mom came to my rescue with a simple gesture that spoke volumes. She noticed the sadness in my eyes and without a word, she wrapped me in a tight hug. In that moment, her embrace felt like a shield against the troubles of the world, reminding me that I was never alone.
As I grew older, I began to understand the depth of Mom’s sacrifices. She worked tirelessly to provide for our family, often putting her own needs aside to ensure we had everything we needed. Her selflessness was like a beacon of light, guiding us through life’s ups and downs with unwavering love and support.
But it wasn’t just her actions that inspired me—it was her unwavering strength in the face of adversity. No matter what challenges came our way, Mom faced them head-on with courage and determination. Her resilience taught me that no obstacle is too big to overcome with a little faith and perseverance.
Today, as I reflect on all the ways Mom has touched my life, I am filled with gratitude for her endless love and unwavering support. Her kindness has been a guiding light, illuminating my path and shaping me into the person I am today.
In a world that can sometimes feel cold and unforgiving, Mom’s love is like a warm embrace—a reminder that kindness, compassion, and strength are the true superpowers that can change the world, one heart at a time.
