Motivation Monday
Life Vest Inside has had the very good fortune of finding writers willing to share their Kindness Stories/Articles with us. One of our special recurring writers is David Jablinowitz, Op-Ed Editor at Jerusalem Post, who is famous for his “bus stories.”
Pay It Forward
In a bustling city, there was a young woman named Sarah. Sarah was a busy professional who worked long hours at a tech startup. She often felt stressed and overwhelmed, but she tried her best to keep a positive attitude and stay focused on her work.
One day, as Sarah was rushing to a meeting, she tripped and fell on the sidewalk. Her laptop went flying out of her bag and landed on the ground, its screen shattered. Sarah was devastated. She had an important presentation to give that day, and now she had no way to access her files.
As she sat on the ground, feeling helpless and defeated, a man approached her. He asked if she was okay and offered to help her up. Sarah was hesitant at first, but the man’s kind tone put her at ease. He introduced himself as Michael and asked if there was anything he could do to help.
Sarah explained her situation, and to her surprise, Michael offered to lend her his own laptop for the day. He said he had some work to do himself but didn’t need his laptop until later in the afternoon.
Sarah was overwhelmed by Michael’s kindness. She accepted his offer, and he handed her his laptop with a smile. Sarah was able to access her files and give her presentation, and it went off without a hitch. She was grateful to Michael for his generosity, and she thanked him profusely when she returned his laptop later that day.
From that day on, Sarah and Michael became good friends. They would often meet up for coffee and talk about their work and their lives. Sarah was grateful to have met someone who was so kind and selfless, and she was inspired to pay it forward in her own life.
Michael’s act of kindness had a ripple effect that extended far beyond that one day. It showed Sarah that there are still good people in the world who are willing to help others, even when it’s not convenient for them. It reminded her of the power of kindness and compassion, and it gave her hope for a better tomorrow.

Kindness Quote
“We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone.”
Ronald Reagan
Act of Kindness
Hold the train door open for someone rushing to get in (be careful, kindness doesn’t mean risking your life). We all know the terrible feeling of running to the train only to have the doors slam shut right before we enter.
Positive Affirmation
I let go of negative thoughts. I welcome love.
