Motivation Monday

Life Vest Inside has had the very good fortune of finding writers willing to share their Kindness Stories/Articles with us. One of our special recurring writers is David Jablinowitz, Op-Ed Editor at Jerusalem Post, who is famous for his “bus stories.”

The Change

A woman gets out of a taxi at a crowded Jerusalem intersection. She’s walking down the block.
The driver opens the door and jumps out of the taxi. He starts shouting toward the woman. But she doesn’t hear, and he is stuck in traffic.
Passersby are wondering what’s going on. The driver explains that he did not give the woman enough change.
No problem. A pizza delivery motorcyclist is passing by, and the two of them come up with a plan. The taxi driver parks his vehicle on the sidewalk. He hops on the back of the motorcycle. The motorcyclist drives him up the block, zigzagging among the cars in the heavy traffic.
Within seconds, they catch up to the woman. Taxi driver gives her the additional change. The woman cannot believe her eyes.
Taxi driver returns to his vehicle on the sidewalk, and drives away, though very slowly because of all of the traffic.
