Motivation Monday
Life Vest Inside has had the very good fortune of finding writers willing to share their Kindness Stories/Articles with us. One of our special recurring writers is David Jablinowitz, Op-Ed Editor at Jerusalem Post, who is famous for his “bus stories.”
When Good Food Meets Goodwill
Outside a shawarma eatery, a woman on a stretcher is receiving medical attention. Doesn’t seem too serious, hopefully.
Guy from the store comes out with a water bottle and a salad to go for the patient.
“Was she in the middle of ordering?” I ask him.
“No,” he replies, “I just figured I’d treat her to something healthy. She seems okay and I’m sure she’ll be able to eat in a few minutes.”
Then he asks the first responders. “Some shawarma?” They decline.
“C’mon, you deserve it,” he persists.
“When we finish our shift,” says one.
“Take my number,” says the shawarma guy. “Call me when you’re coming. I’ll prepare it for you.”

Kindness Quote
“It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog.”
Mark Twain

Act of Kindness
Adopt a pet from an animal shelter. There are so many pets that would love a place to call home.

Positive Affirmation
I am kind to myself by taking care of my physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
