Graphic Design Intern


Life Vest Inside is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to spreading kindness,
empowering people, and building self-esteem and self-value. We aim to engage
our audience in a fun filled experience, showing them the potential they have to
effect real and positive change in the world.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, passionate, and goal oriented intern
to come on board the Life Vest Inside team as a Graphic Designer. As a member
of the team, you will be working closely with the CEO to create new, innovative,
and capturing designs. Life Vest Inside believes in team collaboration and that every
member of the team has a tremendous amount to offer and should be involved in



  • Will be working directly with the CEO of Life Vest Inside to insure deadlines
    are met
  • Will be communicating with our developers
  • Daily tasks will include assisting in creation of marketing materials, such as
    web ads, landing pages, event flyers, web graphics, Facebook tabs, etc.
  • Creating images for promotion
  • Creating logos for branding on Life Vest Inside merchandise
  • Designing weekly newsletter
  • Must enforce brand consistency


  • Must be pursuing a major in graphic design
  • Must have a strong understanding in branding layout color theory typography
    both in print and in digital media.
  • Highly-proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator),
    Mac OSX, and MS Office
  • Fluency in Dreamweaver, Flash, HTML, CSS, PHP, & WordPress a plus.
  • Experience creating and optimizing graphics for the web.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; incredible attention to

  • Detail-oriented, organized and artistic
  • Ability to brainstorm and develop creative ideas
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects
  • Ability to follow through and handle projects responsibly and keep appropriate staff informed
  • Regular and predictable attendance is a non-negotiable requirement of this
    internship program
  • Must be creative, self-motivated, and able to move at a fast paced


Internship takes place over throughout the course of the year. Interns should be able
to commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week. Please note: spaces are limited. Only
hands-on, committed candidates will be considered. We like people who know how to
hustle (and if you know how to do the hustle, that’s even better).



This is an unpaid internship but some of our finest staff members started off as in-
terns. At Life Vest Inside there is plenty of room to advance. While you are in-
vesting your time with us, we are most certainly investing in your growth. The intern-
ship will also provide you with an exceptional opportunity to gain experience
working with a fast growing non-profit. Need credits? We are more than happy to
work with your institution and give you academic credit for your experience.
