Event Testimonials

How the event impacted us!

I don’t know if you’d heard the story of how this dance brought my family back together, but it was a miracle! The Kindness club is also a miracle… I sent our school sponsor the promo video for dance for Kindness and asked her what she thought about a Kindness Club and she loved it!!! I would love to see Kindness clubs in all our schools! I also wanted to tell you personally how much I’ve enjoyed doing this…..My dreams have always been bigger than me!!! So its been hard to make them all come true and I’ve always kept my children first as a single mom! I find myself at 51 years old and realizing I gave up most of my dreams for others….But you have made everything so easy for us leaders, the tutorials, the emails, the programs, the trainings….I am just honored to be a part of this…and its something you have made “doable” LOL…(not a word) for me! Thank you So much.

Because of this event, A kindness club was established at the school where I work and we had our first official meeting the Thursday after the event. We made Kindness cards and placed them in the teacher’s boxes. We also made “Kindness Rock’s” for our city’s local “Lakeland Rock’s” mission. The students are excited about the club and they want to be involved in making our campus a place of Kindness.

This story is a miracle to me….I never dreamed when I decided to be a group leader, which I did reluctantly, that is would happen. I was just afraid I couldn’t get people involved or find a place to have the event. But I’ve done things with much more required of me in my past. My confidence and heart have been broken so many times, I was afraid to try…. With encouragement, a little push from Jeff Kuske and a lot of faith I decided I would give it my best. Things just kept falling in to place. My mother and I have not spoken for the last 2 1/2 years because of a family disagreement. My daughter also had not seen or spoken to my mom either. This wasn’t something I could fix, not something that we knew how to fix and something that just hurt us all and we didn’t know how to come together. It broke my heart because I would’ve loved to have my mother involved in this event. She is a dance teacher and dancer since she was a little girl. I took dance lessons from her for the last 10 years. My daughter is also a ballroom dancer, but just doesn’t have time for dance anymore. The week before the event my mother and I actually ran into one another face to face (literally when we both turned in one direction) in the mall. We were both caught off guard and began to weep….we stood there in the mall and hugged one another and told one another we were sorry and loved each other. Longer story short, I told my mom about the event a few days later and she told told me on November the 12th she would be there to dance with us. My daughter also called me on November 11th and told me she was registering and would learn the dance to come dance with us. They were both there and for the first time in three years we danced together again. What made this all even more amazing and such a miracle to me was it was also my birthday. I decided when I signed up to be a group leader that I wanted to spend my birthday making people smile and showing Kindness to the world. BUT not once did I ever imagine the JOY it would bring me!
