Event Testimonials

How the event impacted us!

“Our school has success orientations that teach character and we really expect our students to demonstrate these each day. Kindness is one of our success orientations. It was so wonderful to see the students and parents buy in to our event. The hours they spent practicing was evident when everyone showed up on Sunday morning for the dance. I was moved to tears thinking how we are delivering a very important message to the world, to our city, to our school. Kindness matters. We can change the world one kind act at a time. QSI Shenzhen is already making plans for next year!”
Kim Brown, Group Leader

“I am so proud of our community and our school to come together for this event! It was such a positive experience for all and it was a great way to bring awareness about kindness”

“I was truly amazed and humbled by the level of dedication that our QSI community showed yesterday. We have been working for a few months now as a team to gather together and make this the best first QSI Kindness Day ever. I was amazed by the enthusiasm the students, staff, and families showed with their interest in being a pat of such an amazing event. I was amazed when the same staff, students, and families took time before school, after school, during breaks and even during school hours to practice the dance and create origami hearts to pass out to community members. Yesterday, I was humbled and moved to tears as we all came together to share our message of kindness towards each other with members of our local community. The happiness on everyone’s faces (spectators and participants alike) brought me to tears. Kindness still exists. Sometimes we need to be reminded of that fact- and these past months and especially yesterday it was never more clearer to me that we can be kind to each other every day.”

“It was heartwarming to see students, teachers, and parents from multiple campuses commit to an event to encourage people to open their hearts. I can’t wait for next year.”
Kim Brown, Group Leader

“I really enjoyed participating in Dance for Kindness because I liked seeing so many people from all walks of life coming together to promote kindness. In a time when our world is filled with so much hate and negativity I was glad I could do my part to promote and encourage others in taking a different path in life. This one small act impacted others around us and brightened people’s spirits, hopefully they will pass it along.”
