Lydia Criss Mays, Ph.D. is the President and CEO of See Beautiful™, an organization committed to empowering girls and women to see the beauty they inherently possess and empowering all to see more beautiful in the world. A former elementary school teacher, Lydia is also an Assistant Professor at Georgia State University in the Early Childhood Education department. Her research, teaching, community and policy work focus on issues of equity, empowerment, and care. Among Mays’ published research articles and book chapters, she is also a children’s book author of an award-winning, co-authored book, The Long and The Short of It: A Tale About Hair.
Travis Hellstrom is Strategic Advisor at Life Vest Inside. Travis served three years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mongolia. After completing his service, Travis started Advance Humanity and became founding CEO of the New Media Foundation, which supports leading nonprofits in Mongolia and worldwide. He currently lives with his wife Tunga in Vermont where he is a Peace Corps Fellow at the SIT Graduate Institute, pursuing his Masters in Nonprofit Management and International Development.

David Rengifo became a part of Life Vest Inside to serve as Director of Operations. From an early age, he has seen the power kindness has to change people’s outlook and attitude towards themselves, each other, and the world around them. A graduate of Duke’s Fuqua School of Business with a MMS, David helps LVI to use kindness as an avenue to educate people and help them turn their inspiration into action. David has a strong background in music performance and education. He believes that kindness, like music, is a universal language, capable of uniting people from all walks of life.
A senior executive with over 18 years experience, Ronnie’s profession and passion is helping create engaging and effective experiences. Ronnie leads the User Experience (US) practice for Slalom Consulting’s New York office. Ronnie co-created the Rutgers Mini-Masters in UX Design at Rutgers, where he current serves as both Program Director and Lead Adjunct Professor. Ronnie has served on the Executive Committee of the Usability Experience Professionals Association International (UXPA-I) and other non-profit Boards including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth County and the Shore Institute of Contemporary Arts.

Dan has spent the last 22 years designing products, interfaces, and exhibits for people of all stripes. Now he is starting to focus more on the people themselves and is discovering the most simple and powerful of tools: a smile. Dan is a multi-disciplinary designer with a career in user-centered design. He is currently co-founder and VP of User Experience for Thuuz, working to build apps that make sure sports fanatics never miss an exciting game. Prior to Thuuz, Dan spent 10 years as Creative Director for Pandora. During that time, he was the principal designer of all Pandora’s web and mobile applications.
Moshe Kaplan, M.D. is a trained psychoimmunologist.
Dr. Kaplan has been a leader in the field of connecting behavior to physical health and well being. While in the United States, he was a founder of the American Holistic Medical Association and developer of Wellness Medical Centers where patients were offered an opportunity to avail them of services to reach maximum physical and spiritual integration of mind body and soul. Several years ago after compiling “A Wholly Life” (Targum Press) and “Be a Mensch- -Why Good Character is the Key to a Life of Happiness, Health, Wealth and Love”, he started the Mensch Foundation (www.beamensch.com), a non-profit educational organization that seeks to educate Israeli citizens about the benefits of good character.
